When used as a noun, the definition of Muse means a person — especially a woman — who is a source of artistic inspiration. In mythology, the Muses were nine goddesses who symbolized the arts and sciences. When referring to Elyse Walker, we think her picture should be included in the dictionary along with the definition!
As a boutique owner myself, I am in awe of this woman! She runs a highly successful 6,500 sq. ft. boutique that bears her name and offers a "who's who" of fashion designers, with an online version as well. Her client list contains the most fashion forward faces in Los Angeles, and she has styled celebrities and stars from around the globe. As if that were not enough, she also co-owns a shoe line and an amazing fashion label, ThePerfext. ThePerfext (pronounced Perfect) is a collaboration between Elyse Walker and Sable Banoun. The two, who have worked together for 13 years and have over 40 years of combined experience on the sales floor, came up with the idea for the collection when talking about the “must haves” every woman should own. The result is a carefully curated selection of staple fashion pieces that transition seamlessly from day to night and that you will wear forever.
